This palce is completely eco-friendly. Where you will also get to give adventure sports. Deodar trees make this place even more beautiful and shady. This place is just seven(7) Kilometer from Dharamashala and a total of One (1) Kilometer from Mcleodganj. It is also known as Forsythganj. Apart from this, this place is also associated with British Indian History.
=>HISTORY OF SAINT JOHN CHURCH
It is said that St. John Church is the oldest Anglican church in Forsythganj/Mcleodganj, Dharamshala. Tourist keep coming here throughout the year. The church was built in 1852. Especially the purpose of building the church was done for the shelter of British Soldiers so that they could spend rest and holidays here. Many memorial stones will also be found here, which are filled with the memory of those British soldiers who spent their last time here. This church is dedicated
to Lord Elgin the Viceroy of India from 1862-1863. In the church you can also see two magnificient glass panels made of glass. There is also a bell in front of the church. The stained glass or windows made in the church were donated by Lady Elgin.
The upper part of the church was destroyed by the earthquake of 1905. Due to this earthquake, the entire Kangra and especially Dharamshala city suffered a lot. Then there were bases of British Soldiers, not cities. It is said that after the destruction of the upper part of the church and its bell and clock tower, it was imported from England in 1915 after 1905.

You can also see a grave yard memorial sign right behind the church or you can also see a monument made of stone. This monument was built in the memory of James Bruce, 8th Earl of Elgin Viceroy of India1862-63. There are many places to visit around the church which you can also visit.

The total distance of this place from Dharamshala is seven (7) kilometers from the bus stand.
=>How to reach here-
1.By rail-
If you are coming from Delhi by rail, then the nearest railway station is Pathankot, whose total distance is 85 kilometers from here.
2.Other Railroad Kangra-
Another option is Pathankot to Kangra railway station, which is narrow gauge. Keep in mind that trains run very rarely here. So get your ticket confirmed in advance.
3.By traveling by plane-
The nearest airport is Gaggal Airport, Kangra, which is about 14-15 kilometers from Dharamsala. So you can easily reach this place by booking a ticket from Delhi.
=>By Bus and Taxi-
The city of Dharamshala is well connected by taxis and public vehicles, so you can reach here very easily with the help of any vehicle.
